Following the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake in San Francisco and the 1994 Northridge Earthquake in Los Angeles, Geissler Engineering has prepared plans for the seismic retrofit of many of the most important historical, unreinforced masonry buildings in California.

Our specialty is the structural design of foundation systems designed to support existing unreinforced masonry buildings in the event of liquefaction of soils in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout Southern California.
